This Policy applies to LingoChan's meeting transcription, translation, summarization, Slack translation, websites, and related support services (the “Services”). It should be read with any product-specific notice shown when data is collected.
This global notice includes regional rights. Translations are intended to be equivalent; where applicable law requires a local-language version to control, that version controls.

Eggflow, LLC is responsible for personal data collected from individual visitors and account holders. When an organization provides accounts, meetings, or workspace content, that organization may be the controller/business and LingoChan acts as its processor/service provider. Workspace users should normally direct requests about organization-controlled content to their administrator first.
2. Data we collect
We process account and profile data; organization, workspace, channel, and membership data; audio, transcripts, translations, summaries, action items, messages, and context submitted to the Services; contact and support requests; device, browser, IP address, referrer, attribution, usage, and diagnostic data; push-notification details; and subscription, invoice, transaction, and billing identifiers. Payment providers, not LingoChan, collect full payment-card details.
3. Sources, purposes, and legal bases
Data comes from you, your administrator or participants, connected services such as Google, Firebase and Slack, payment providers, and your use of the Services. We use it to provide and secure the Services, authenticate users, process and translate content, manage subscriptions, support customers, prevent abuse, measure performance and marketing, comply with law, and improve reliability. Depending on location, our bases are performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligations.
4. Customer content and AI processing
Speech recognition may be processed by Soniox, and translation, summaries, or related AI features may be processed through Amazon Bedrock or other providers disclosed for the feature. LingoChan does not use customer content to train general-purpose models unless the customer gives separate, explicit permission. Provider processing and temporary retention depend on the selected feature, region, configuration, and contract; do not submit content you are not authorized to process.
5. When we share data
We share only what is reasonably needed with service providers and integrations, including Slack; Google and Firebase (including sign-in, reCAPTCHA and advertising measurement); Soniox; Amazon Web Services, including Bedrock and RDS; Cloudflare R2; PostHog; Stripe; and Lemon Squeezy. We may also disclose data to professional advisers, authorities when legally required, or in a corporate transaction with appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal data for money. Certain advertising or analytics disclosures may be treated as “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” or a similar concept under some laws.
6. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, analytics, advertising measurement, and bot prevention. These may include Google tags, reCAPTCHA, PostHog, and local storage. Controls depend on your region and the choices made available in the Services; you can also use browser controls and contact [email protected] about applicable opt-out rights. Blocking essential technologies may prevent parts of the Services from working.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, account or workspace operation, contractual commitments, disputes, security, and legal obligations. Retention varies by data type, customer instructions, provider settings, and backup cycles. Meeting owners can delete individual meetings where that control is available; verified account or workspace deletion requests are deleted or de-identified within a reasonable period, subject to legal holds, fraud prevention, billing records, and limited backups.
8. Security and international transfers
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, logging, and provider security controls. No service can guarantee absolute security. Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where LingoChan or its providers operate. Where required, we use recognized transfer mechanisms and supplementary safeguards appropriate to the transfer.
9. Your rights and regional supplements
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent, opt out of targeted advertising or certain sharing, limit use of sensitive data, appeal a decision, and complain to a regulator. EEA/UK/Swiss users receive GDPR-equivalent rights; California and other US residents receive applicable state rights; Brazil, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, China, Canada, and other jurisdictions receive rights under their local privacy laws. We do not discriminate for exercising a right. Email [email protected]; we may verify identity and authority.
10. Children, changes, and contact
The Services are for business and adult users and are not directed to children. Do not use them if you are below the minimum legal age in your country. We may update this Policy and will post a new date and provide additional notice when required; a materially new purpose will use consent where law requires it. Meeting audio controls
For meetings with the new audio controls, saving an audio file is off by default. Audio is still sent for transcription and translation. If you enable saving, cloud audio expires 30 days after the meeting ends; temporary device backups support upload recovery. You can delete audio separately while keeping transcripts and summaries, or delete the meeting. Deletion cleanup can continue after playback is disabled to remove late uploads. Previously downloaded copies cannot be recalled. Older recordings retain their original policy. Provider processing and backup retention remain subject to the details above.
